Woman Warrior Changes The World

Hi ladies it's me again and I hope and pray that y'all are having a nice day today! I'm happy to present another blog and this time it's about one of my favorite female characters in the Bible and one of the ''Nativity characters'' and that is the beloved blessed Virgin Mary! The title of this blog is called ''Woman Warrior Changes The World''. She is known amongst the Jewish, Catholic, and Protestant culture (I grew up in the Protestant church nondenominational and Assemblies of God) especially during the Christmas season. The gospel account that mentions her is Luke 1 and Luke 2 and in Luke 1 she is visited by the archangel Gabriel and told that she'll be the mother of the Son of God! Can you imagine the thoughts that went through her head? I mean she was engaged to carpenter Joseph and many historians and theologians believe that she was between the ages 13 to 16 years old when that occurred! To let y'all know in our day she would be a middle and high school girl and it wasn't unusual for women back then to get married that young. Anyway, despite her fear and knowing it had potential to get her in trouble with Joseph, her parents, and religious community she said yes to God anyway. I have always admired the virgin Mary's courage when I was a little girl and always aspired to be like her when I grew up and I didn't understand why. I believe now as an adult I know the reason. She was humble, godly, had trust in God despite adversity, (I'm sure when she was starting her pregnancy people gossiped about her) and had hope for the future. I hope and pray it motivates y'all this Christmas to trust God despite adversity, be humble, and godly and be examples to all you come in contact with. This is my prayer as I aspire to be a godly woman as the virgin Mary bore a child Jesus Christ who changed the world. Also let's be ''women warriors'' who change the world this Christmas and throughout the year! I aspire to be that too. Blessings, Merry Christmas, and have a blessed week everyone!
