Adoration Of The Wisemen

Hi ladies it's me again and hope y'all are doing well. Well as we get closer and closer to Christmas, I'm sharing more Christmas content. This blog is called ''Adoration Of The Wisemen''. I'm sure that many of you know the story about the Magi or wisemen. You can read about it in Matthew 2 and many scholars and theologians believe they were ''astrologer princes'' who studied the stars. We actually don't know how many Magi there were but we commonly use three wisemen and such. We also don't know where in the East they came from although some historians believe that they came from Arabia, Persia, or even from Babylon and others believe their names were Melchior, Baltahsar, and Gasper although the Bible doesn't say what their names were or where they came from. What I find fascinating about these guys is they were smart, wealthy, and they were Gentiles. Gentile is a ''nonJew'' as most of us Christians are. They traveled so far to find Jesus and to offer their most precious treasures to Him. I actually believe that ''gift giving'' came from what these men did and their gifts Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh are symbolic and significant. Gold represents the kingship of Christ mentioned in Revelation 19 that Christ is the King of kings. Frankincense represents the priesthood of Christ which is often talked in in the book of Hebrews that says that He is our High Priest. Myrrh represents Christ being the sacrificial Lamb of God. Plus they fell down and worshipped Him. I believe during this Christmas season we can give God and give others precious gifts. Gifts of love, time, and attention as well as material things. But let us give our Lord the honor, glory, and praise His name this Christmas and throughout the year. One more thought about the Magi, I believe that God our Heavenly Father left their story on record to reassure that one day the gospel would get to us Gentiles and it would thanks to the Apostle Paul and the Apostle Peter sharing the gospel to people in Rome among other nations. That's what I wanted to share with y'all. Blessings, Merry Christmas, and have a nice week everyone.
