The Seasonal Shift Of Summer To Fall
The Seasonal Shift Of Summer To Fall

Hi ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. The title I have for this blog is called "Transition From Summer To Fall". Let me say this it's been a whirlwind summer time! It was somewhat of a hot summer especially during fourth of July. Of course we know that the month of August was crazy too since it was unusually cold in August when it's typically hot like the month of July! Of course we'll never forget the horrible flooding that took place that people are still recovering from as well. Side note we haven't had a flood this bad since 2010 fifteen years ago and in a blog last week I mentioned about the similarities and slight differences between the 2010 flood and this years flood. Today as I write this is the very last day of August which means that tomorrow on Labor Day will be September 1st and because it'll be September soon means that fall time is coming up. Not only is fall time coming up which means that students and teachers will be going back to school too. (In another blog I'll write about the importance of praying for teachers and students and for them to have a good school year.) Fall is quite an interesting season for a number of reasons. Of course I mentioned Labor Day and I pray that you ladies will have a wonderful day off tomorrow on Monday for that with time with loved ones and so forth. I already mentioned school will be starting again soon and the weather may start to get cooler. The season of fall is exciting especially for farmers because fall time is also harvest time. Whatever seeds the farmer showed and watered during the Spring time and Summer time will be ready to harvest during the fall time! Many carnivals and fall festivals will take place because farmers are happy to gain what seeds they showed and planted. The Bible says "One reaps what they sow". Fall is an exciting time for that and it's also a time when leaves on the trees turn into beautiful colors. There are times during the fall time that I love to take pictures of the beautiful leaves on the trees when they turn colors. Sometimes you marvel at God's creation and how God made everything especially the uniqueness of the seasons of life. Of course when leaves that turn colors fall off the trees many of us have to rake the leaves. The season of fall also is a time of preparation for the winter season which many people in the Northern States don't like but that's just a part of life. I also think about how the Bible says about the parable "The Sower And The Seed" how seeds fell on the path, thorns, and rocky soil and how the seed fell in good ground and produced a harvest. Matthew, Mark, and Luke talk about that and of course the context of that parable is symbolic for spiritual things meaning the seed is God's Word and the path, thorns, and rocky things represent the different bad hearts while the seed in rich soil represents a good heart. The seed that fell on the soil produced a good harvest which means God's Word fell on a person's heart who understands and applies and it produces spiritual fruit for God's kingdom. The Bible talks about in the book of Ecclesiastes 3 that there's a time and season for everything that's under heaven a time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest to name a couple. God's also been reminding me that every season of life both naturally and spiritually has a purpose. The season of fall is no different. Some of you maybe excited about the season of fall and others could careless. The Bible also says God makes everything beautiful in its time. I love that so much. There's so much beautiful about the season of fall many of which I said and I sense that many of us ladies maybe we sowed spiritual seeds of the gospel, acts of kindness, or sowed seeds of prayers and waiting for the harvest. The Bible tells us in Galatians 6 "Not to be weary in well doing for in due time you'll reap a harvest if you faint not". I believe that during this fall time upcoming that every spiritual seed we've ever shown (myself included) potentially can be a time that we reap a spiritual harvest! There's spiritual seeds I've sown this year and previous years I'm waiting for a harvest. Of course we know that God does things in His timing and His way but I believe that this fall some of the things we've waited on will be harvested. God honors faithfulness especially over long periods of time especially if what we've done was a labor of love. That's what I wanted to encourage you ladies with about today on this Lord's day. If any of you ladies are getting together with loved ones tomorrow on Labor Day, I hope and pray that all is well with that and traveling mercies if you're traveling and such. Blessings, happy Lord's day, happy early Labor Day, and know that the best is yet to come!
