New Year New Mindset

HI ladies it's me again and hope y'all are doing well. I'm continuing on with the ''New Year'' theme and the name of the title of this blog is called ''New Year New Mindset''. I don't know about y'all but changing one's mindset can be a challenge. Why? Because we know that certain mindsets we have can be destructive or mindsets may have been passed down to us from our loved ones, good or bad! Maybe there were past hurts and psychologists say that trauma impacts the brain in so many ways. (I'll share more about that in the upcoming year.) But the good news is our minds can be altered. The Bible has a lot to say about changing mindsets. In fact is it says in Romans 12;2 a command for the Christian ''Be not conformed to the pattern of this world be but transformed by the renewing of your mind.'' Proverbs 23;7 says ''As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.'' I believe these Scripture verses are very important for us for many reasons. The Bible tells us we Christians are to think differently than the world does. For example sex is reserved for marriage between a man and woman while the world thinks of having sex with anyone. The world thinks a person should work seven days a week while God says to keep the Sabbath holy. (Take a day off and give it to HIm.) Those are a couple of examples. The other Scripture ''as a man thinketh'' indicates a person's thoughts shapes their behavior and actions or lack of behavior and actions. Certain mindsets determine what person one can become and I have no doubt we want to be better people in the new year. I have no doubt that we want to become more like Christ and that takes a lifetime effort. The good news is it's not too late to ask the Lord to help us overcome mindsets or even heal deep trauma in our brains that hinder us from being the people we were made to be. That's all I wanted to share with y'all today so blessings, have a nice day, and have a great week in the Lord everyone.
