Inside Out

Hi ladies it's me again and happy Tuesday! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm happy to present another blog called "Inside Out" Yes that's right I'm talking about the cartoon. There's two movies the one from 2015 and the recent one this year part 2. There's emotions called Anger, Sadness, Disgust, Fear, and Joy. Those are emotions that we all deal with on a daily basis. In the latest one Riley the main character is in the puberty stage in between the middle school and high school age. Isn't that an interesting stage? She starts to battle with new emotions such as embarrassment, envy, and anxiety in addition to all the other emotions. She's a talented ice hockey player and been friends with Bree and Grace since she was young. They all go to ice hockey with a strict coach and Riley deals with so much anxiety. It causes her to try to fit in with her older peers and her striving to be perfect. Anxiety does no help for her. But Joy and the other emotions help Riley gain her sense of self and she and the girls win the last ice hockey game. Y'all may wonder what's the "spiritual point" with this movie? Well just because we're Christians doesn't mean we're not human. God gave us emotions because He has emotions. God gets happy, sad, angry, and disgusted but He never fears, has anxiety, or gets embarrassed. Anxiety is something kids and adults deal with which I believe is why God led me to watch the movie in the theater Saturday July 13th. The Bible reminds us to not be anxious but pray and let's be honest can be challenging. Also Riley has to choose to let anxiety go and I believe that's a word right there. May we God's people be honest that we all have dealt with anxiety at some point even me. Let's ask God to help us with that so we can start overcoming them. Also someone who unfortunately wasn't encouraged to deal with her emotions growing up was good for me to see this. That's what I wanted to share with y'all. Id encouraging y'all to go check out the movie in theaters and if you haven't gotten my book yet you can get it on Amazon. My book does address emotions and Mariah Carey has an album title called "Emotions" released in 1991. Blessings, hope this blog encouraged y'all, I have a good week everyone.
