Christians And Non Christians Suffer Alike

Hi ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families had a good Father's Day last week Sunday. Listen I'm happy to be back presenting another blog called ''Christians And Non Christians Suffer Alike'' and it's from one of the chapters from my book. Why is that important to know? There's a reason why I bring that up. Many of us know about the Great Depression that occurred in the 1930s and that affected everyday workers and even preachers. I think about Dr Martin Luther King Sr (father of Dr King Jr) who was married to Alberta and had to raise young kids under ten years old during that time. Most people didn't make much money back then much less preachers! But by God's grace they made it through. Let's not forget 9/11 of the countless lives that were lost. Also the recession that happened in 2008. Both Christians and nonChristians alike lost their homes, life savings, hours from work got cut, and lost jobs. I can remember as a teenager someone from church feeling overwhelmed because their hours got cut knowing that layoff could be a possibility. I don't remember the person's name but I knew the situation wasn't good. Most of all let's not forget Covid. People like me and so many others Christians and non Christians lost our jobs with no fault of our own and only ''essential workers'' got to work. That made me so angry then and now. I share this to know that brokenness can happen to both. Now the real question is who do we turn to? NonChristians don't have that hope but we God's people do. Perhaps pray that nonChristians would turn to God during hard times instead of blaming God. Y'all can read more about that in the second chapter of my book ''Strength For Enduring Adversity''. If you haven't gotten it yet I'd highly encourage you to do so especially if you or someone you know is going through a storm. Blessings, happy Lord's day, and have a blessed week ladies!
