Women's History Month - Jaci Velasquez

Hi ladies it's me again and hope y'all are doing well. I'm happy to share with you ladies another blog for "Women's History Month! I bet alot of you didn't know that March was "Women's History Month " and it's been since the year 1987! Anyway I'll be sharing a second blog about another Christian woman named Jaci Velasquez! I'm sure the name sounds familiar and I'm gonna give y'all stuff about her what y'all didn't know. She was born in the year 1979 and she's Hispanic American. She has several siblings and her parents were ministers. She began singing as a toddler around two or three years old and got saved at five. She continued singing in church and with her family and her parents were traveling evangelists just like the late Dr Billy Graham! She was homeschooled as a kid (I was as well too) and she would become an independent artist. Later Myrrh records discovered her and Word records and released her national debut album in 1996 called "A Heavenly Place". Some singles from that album some of you may recognize "We Can Make A Difference", "If This World", "On My Knees" were her earliest popular singles! (Side note I've sung cover those cover songs on YouTube in the past.) She has continued to cover English albums and not only that she has released several Spanish albums. She released her first Spanish album in 1999 and she has been one of the few Christian artists (besides Crystal Lewis) to have done albums in both English and in Spanish! She has won many Dove awards and has had Gold and Platinum albums. She also is an actress and starred in movies such as "Chasing Papi", "The Encounter", and "Jerusalem Countdown" just to name a few. She has been married twice and divorced once. She was married to a guy named Darren Potluck was in a pop band "Autovaughn" in 2003 and sadly got divorced in 2005. In 2006 she married Christian guy named Nic Gonzalez from Christian band "Salvador". They have two sons Zealand born in 2007 and Soreen born in 2009. There you have it! I love racial diversity and was happy to share about a Hispanic Christian lady making a difference! Blessings to y'all and have a nice week in the Lord!
