Parable Of The Wedding Feast

Hi ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm happy to be back with another blog and another parable from our Lord called ''Parable Of The Wedding Feast''. Matthew has an account of that Matthew 22 but the account I'm doing is Luke 14;15-24. Christ tells the story about the wedding supper and sent servants out to invite as many people to come to his wedding banquet. But sadly the people didn't take his servants seriously because one said. ''I've bought a field and need to go use it. Please excuse me.'' The servants invited another person who said. ''I've bought some yokes of oxen and need to use them. Please excuse me.'' The servants invited another person who said. ''I just got married so please excuse me.'' The servants reported back to their Master what happened and their Master was upset! He said. ''Go and find the poor, the maime, blind, and the crippled to come to my wedding banquet.'' But the servants said. ''Lord what you have wanted has been done and there's still room.'' Go out to the highways and hedges and compell them to come in that my house may be filled. I tell you none of the those who were invited first shall get a taste of my wedding banquet.'' Now I know it's the Spring time and not quite ''wedding season'' yet. For many weddings take place in the summer and fall time especially in Wisconsin not so much the Spring or Winter time. (Perhaps if you live in a warmer climate there maybe weddings year around!) Anyway, what does this parable apply for us today? The Master represents our Lord and Savior and God our Heavenly Father. We know in the book of Revelations 19 talks about the Marriage Supper Of The Lamb. We know that it's God's will for all to be saved as it says in 2 Peter 3;9 right? Well how many people do we know make excuses to either be saved or to grow in their Christian faith? The first said. ''I bought a field.'' In our modern day it will be like someone saying. ''I just bought a house and I have no time for God or no time to grow in my faith.'' The second said. ''I bought oxen.'' In our day it will be like someone saying ''I bought a luxurious car or on a luxurious vacation. I have no time to get saved or grow deeper in my faith.'' The third said. ''I got married.'' Well I believe the third one is self-explanatory. Let me make a disclaimer: I love weddings! I love weddings more than funerals! But the third used him getting married as an excuse and some people will use they got married as an excuse not to get saved or grow in their faith. Now ladies, Many of you know I'm a kingdom single and been single for quite a while and I'm believing in God for a mate. But I tell God I'm believing for a ''kingdom marriage!'' What do I mean by that? I'm believing in finding a godly man to serve the Lord with and advance His kingdom in the way I've been doing as a single man but seeking to take it to the next level by getting married! I want a Christian/kingdom marriage! I won't use marriage as an excuse not to serve God! No way Jose! But people make excuses like that! The Master asked the servants to invite the least, last, and lowest to his banquet because they're not distracted by the things those men were distracted by. It's important for us to pray for people that are lost or wayward (those who once knew the Lord but drifted away) to pray their hearts will be receptive to get saved or come back to Christ and pray nothing gets in the way of growing their faith! And also pray they and us will be ready for the Marriage SUpper of the Lamb! I'm not saying it's wrong to buy a house, a luxurious car or vacation, or getting married, but we must keep the Lord in the center of those things! That's what I wanted to share with y'all. I pray that this blog encouraged y'all and pray that we in the body of Christ will be ready for the Marriage SUpper Of The Lamb! Blessings, happy Lord's day, and have a blessed week everyone!
