Give Thanks Even When It's Hard
Hi ladies it's me again and happy Tuesday! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm happy to present another blog called "Giving Thanks When It's Hard". Why did I write this blog? Well I know that Thanksgiving holiday is coming up within the next couple of days and while some of you maybe looking forward to Thanksgiving holiday while others of you may not. Perhaps for some it was a year of answers prayer, breakthrough, and open doors while others maybe single, divorced, widowed, maybe lost a loved one, dealing with financial challenges, or challenges with family members. Listen ladies I can certainly understand that because I remember when the holidays were hard too. I try very hard to be compassionate towards people who maybe feeling that way right now. Folks do you think that the Pilgrims had it easy? No they didn't. Who were the Pilgrims? They were Christians who left England to come to America on the Mayflower on the Atlantic Ocean to travel here in 1620. Unfortunately many Pilgrims lost loved ones prior to the Thanksgiving holiday but they were thankful anyway. I believe that should be an encouragement to us to remember that if they could be thankful how much more should we? The Bible tells us in all things to give thanks. Psalm 103 tells us not to forget what the Lord has done for us such as forgiving our sins, healing our bodies, and redeeming our lives from destruction. I pray that this blog will remind those who are having a hard time with the holidays to look at the good as well as depending on the Lord to get through the holiday season. PS I'm thankful I got to publish two books this year by the grace of God despite having a low budget! "Strength For Enduring Adversity" and "20 Day Christmas Devotional" and I plan to do more the upcoming year. That's what I wanted to share with you ladies. Blessings, happy Tuesday, and happy early Thanksgiving holiday. If you're struggling emotionally this year know you're in my thoughts and prayers too.
