Balancing The Busyness Of The Season

Hi ladies it's me again and hope you ladies and your families are doing well. Well I'm happy to present another blog to you ladies called "Balancing The Busyness Of The Season". This comes from one chapter from my book called "My 20 Day Christmas Devotional" in chapter 13. I believe that this will hit home for a lot of us especially knowing how busy this time of year gets. We know how busy day to day life is with work, school, family, among other things are adding holiday stuff can make it challenging. Things such as shopping, Christmas parties, decorating, among other things can be overwhelming. Not to mention dealing with family coming to town and the challenge weather (especially if you live in Wisconsin or the East Coast) dealing with the cold and snow. All of that can be stressful to deal with. I think of how Mary and Joseph had to travel from Nazareth to Bethlehem on a donkey and Mary being nine months pregnant! I'm sure that was no easy task and I'm sure traveling was challenging for them as it is for us in our day. Then they look for an inn to stay the night and all the inns are crowded! They had to deal with that after a long day or days or weeks of travel! Traveling during the holidays can be stressful and not finding a place to stay makes it harder. It was a busy time for them as it is for us today. The thing I believe is important is to ask God for grace as well as balance. Asking God to guide us all our days what things to do, what things to cut down on, and recognizing what needs our attention the most. We know we need to focus on the Lord first of all and carve out time for Him and making sure our daily tasks need to be taken care of. In fact Mary of Bethany in Luke 10 sat our Lord's feet while her sister Martha nagged her to help her! But Jesus said that Mary did the right thing. I pray that in the midst of the business of the season we make room for the Lord and take care of things that matter. That's the purpose of this blog and I'd encourage you to get my book "My 20 Day Christmas Devotional" on the store part and on Amazon as well. Blessings to each of you ladies, have a blessed day, and Merry Christmas!
